Joan Jett Booted From Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Float

Joan Jett was known during her formative years for her iconic, black leather jacket, however, as she's aged, the former Blackheart has a grown much fonder of cute, cuddly creatures. Recently, the singer's vegetarian lifestyle got her booted from a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She was scheduled to perform on the float represented by the state of South Dakota, but a trade group for the state's ranchers wanted no part of her kindhearted shenanigans.

"I've decided to switch from South Dakota to another float because people's political agendas were getting in the way of what should be a purely entertainment driven event," Joan Jett stated in response to the South Dakota Cattlemen's Association's complaints.

We're unsure who South Dakota will elect as Jett's replacement, but a glance at a list of 'famous' South Dakotan musicians comes up pretty dry, and by dry, we mean there are six, and they are all dead. But here are a few more vegan and vegetarian artists who they might want to steer clear of (yes, that's a pun).

Jonsi (of course)

And the ultimate heart-breaker for those crazy cattlemen...
