Fast Planet is a nice little band out of Memphis, TN, producing chill electronic pop in the vein of Lemonade and Aphex Twin. Their debut album, Jes, is surprisingly focused and contemplative for a first effort, and is certainly worth a listen. But today, we're talking about the work Fast Planet did on a song not written by them - a cover of Iron & Wine's "Naked Before We Came." Giving this acoustic lullaby an electronic twist seems both logical and unexpected, and Fast Planet does a nice job of capturing the original's mood while injecting some brightness into it. And as the guys of Fast Planet are wont to do, they have added a nice come-down in the form of a beautiful, sprawling, extended outro.

Take a listen.

Jes is out now.
