I've been on and off interested in Silver Linings Playbook, the Bradley Cooper/Jennifer Lawrence movie directed by David O. Russell, ever since I saw the trailer a few months ago, but now I'm all-in. You wanna know why? Because we just found out that Alt-J, winners of the Mercury Prize and maybe the best album of the year, are contributing a brand new song to the movie's soundtrack. The song, "Buffalo," continues the avant-garde, intricate work Alt-J put forth on An Awesome Wave, with a little added intensity. That has to be a good sign, right? Good music always equals good movie - just ask Garden State.

Stream "Buffalo," featuring Mountain Men below. The official soundtrack drops on 11/19.

For further Alt-J-ness, check out our session with them at KEXP's The Cutting Room.
