It's a dreary Wednesday here in Brooklyn. Wednesdays are dreary at an existential level to begin with but adding the overcast misery of yesterday's torrential downpours just compounds things further. Thank god for The Lonely Biscuits
then. If anything is going to get us out of our midweek slumps, it's a delectable slice of hazy, garage-fueled alternative rock, and with "You Are," the Lonely Biscuits deliver just that.
We have the exclusive premiere of the lyric video for "You Are." The lyric video captures the fresh, raw D.I.Y. nature of The Lonely Biscuit's Cake via the White Stripes sound. And the track itself has that energy-fueled vibe that made 90s alt rock so much fun. But there's enough of an almost jam-band like energy (aka the Cake reference) to bring some looseness to the rawness of the track. And the lyrics themselves, with the lyric art for the video done by Shane McClatchley, speak to these hazy vibes the Lonely Biscuits have no trouble providing.
