Conan is filming a week-long residency at the Beacon Theater, and it's one giant celebration of late night culture, not to mention some superb guests both musical and otherwise. Last night Jimmy Fallon stopped by to chat about taking over for Conan on Late Night, Mayor Bloomberg quizzed Conan on his NY knowledge, Conan delivered Chinese food, and Reggie Watts performed a special tribute song in honor of Coco's return to NYC. Perfect.
Fallon was humble in discussing how he got his own late night themed ice cream (and none for Conan), but his "Halloween song" was a bit unfocused to say the least. AMERICA.
King Wok customers had no idea what was coming to them.
And Reggie Watts closed out the evening with a cover of Thin Lizzy's apropos classic "The Boys are Back in Town."
A great start to a great week. Cobra Starship, Paul Simon, and Louis C.K. are due in the coming days, so you can only imagine the shenanigans. Team Coco, assemble. We'll see you tomorrow.
