The New Kid Cudi Is Not Too Depressing

Kid Cudi is the most emo, marijuana-addled rapper in hip-hop. He's held that title since singing that he had "some issues that nobody can see" on his debut album, Man On The Moon: The End Of Day. All of his songs teeter on melodrama, and it can get tiring. So know that we wouldn't be posting about new Cudder unless it was pretty good. "King Wizard" does have some of those too-serious lyrics, but the production -- with droning synths and tribal percussion -- is so tight and impressive that we're willing to let it slide. By all indications, "King Wizard" is a track off of Kid Cudi's upcoming album, INDICUD, which we don't know much about, except that expectations are high.
