It's Halloween and time for Baeblemusic's Tales From the Crypt: Music Edition

1. Sid Vicious

Awakening from a heroine induced stupor on October 12. 1978, Sex Pistols bass guitarist and infamous punk idol, Sid Vicious, awoke to find his beloved girlfriend, Nancy Spugen dead on the bathroom floor. He began stumbling through the halls of the Hotel Chelsea where the couple had been staying saying, " I never meant to kill her...I can't live without my Nancy". When police arrived they found Nancy's scantily clad body slumped over with a single stab wound to her abdomen. She had bled to death and the knife used had been bought by Vicious.

Arrested and charged with murder, Vicious admitted to having had an argument with Nancy but gave conflicting versions of what happened next. In one he confessed to stabbing her, but reiterating that he never meant to kill her. In another he said he didn't recall everything, but at one point in the argument Nancy had fallen on a knife.

Ten days after her death, Sid attempted suicide by slitting his wrist with a smashed light bulb which resulted in his hospitalization where he tried again, this time by attempting to jump out a window shouting things like, "I want to be with my Nancy". Hospital staff intervened, prolonging his life for a mere four months. Before anyone could find out what actually happened to Nancy, Sid Viscious died of a heroine overdose after a party celebrating Sid making bail. Sid wanted to be with Nancy in death, so his mother had his ashes were sprinkled over her grave.

2. Phil Spector

On February 3, 2003 actress Lana Clarkson was found slumped in a chair, a single gunshot in her mouth, and broken teeth scattered around her on the floor. This hauntingly violent scene occurred in the mansion named, Dupuy's Pyrenees Castle owned by the reclusive and infamously violent producer, Phil Spector.

A musical genius credited with developing the "wall of sound" recording technique that revolutionized the music industry, Spector was also known to be an abusive addict with a well documented passion for firearms. Paranoid, volatile, and self-conscious the famously eccentric Spector would often point a loaded gun at anyone he felt slighted him, especially women he believed were rejecting him. His is ex-wife, Ronnie Spector, publicly called him a "psychopathic monster".

In the early morning of February 3rd Spector was seen at The House of Blues VIP Foundation Room where he met Lana Clarkson working as a hostess. Alleagedly addicted to pills the struggling actress agreed to go back to Spector's home for a single drink. Around 5 am Spector's driver, still waiting for Clarkson to return, heard a faint popping noise. Instead of the tall blonde emerging, Spector appeared with a bloody revolver in his hand saying, "I think I killed somebody". He later said in an interview that her death was an accidental suicide due to her addictions. He said that she "kissed the gun" he was showing her and pulled the trigger in a tragic mistake.

3.Rick James

Known best for his 80's hit, "Super Freak", Rick James has a long history with rock & roll and also cocaine. In 1991 Jakes and his then girlfriend, Tanya Anne Hijazi faced sexual assault and torture charges after an unidentified woman was treated for burns on her legs and stomach. The hospital nottidied authorities and the woman recounted her hellish experience with the "Super Freak".

First reluctant, she finally admitted to doing cocaine, almost non-stop, with James and Hijanzi and having consensual sex with James, but on July 16, 1991 she said James turned violent when he accuesed her of stealing some of his cocaine. He then ordered her to undress, tied her to a chair, and used a heated kitchen knife and cocaine pipe to burn her legs and stomach. He then forced her to perform sex acts on Hijanzi while he watched. The couple released her the next day to seek medical attention. Super creepy.

4. G.G. Allin

For some, G.G. Allin of G.G. Allin and the Murder Junkies is a symbol of the ultimate rock rebellion by breaking literally every social convention known in modern civilization. Throughout his life he was accused of multiple accounts of assault, assuault with a deadly weapon, rape, and beastiality, and these practices relfected in his song titles, such as: "I'm Gonna Rape You", "Expose Yourself to Kids", "Outlaw scumfuc", and "Suck My Ass It Smells". A known sociopath whose mental instabilities were worsed by substance abuse and a strong following, his performances were made up of equally cringe endusing acts, including: self mutilation, attacking audience members, and throwing and eating his own fecal matter. It is absolutely terrifying to think of the way this man lived, but the only thing more horrifying than the stories of G.G.'s life is the tale of his death:

Allin repeatedly reported that he planned to commit on-stage suicide on Halloween, but every Halloween G.G. found himself behind bars. After emerging from prison, hell bent on exacting his revenge on society, he performed at a small metal club called the Gas Station club in New York City where, while covered in blood and feces, he consumed heroine on-stage. The show ended in a riot on the street and the authorities were called, but G.G. Allin escaped from the police, naked, and found himself at a friend's apartment on the lower east side where he took even more drugs. The next morning, on June 28, 1993, Allin was found dead of an overdose. The performance and the funeral are all captured on film resulting in an unsettling legacy.
