Death Row Records cofounder and conspiracy theory favorite
Suge Knight was arrested on Wednesday night for stealing a camera from a paparazzo. The incident allegedly took place in September, while Knight was outside a Los Angeles studio with comedian Katt Williams, and just weeks after he was shot 6 times at Chris Brown's VMA after party.
After Williams was arrested on Wednesday morning for his role in the theft, police found Knight in Las Vegas hours later. While Williams could face up to 7 years behind bars for the incident, Knight's prior convictions for assault with a deadly weapon could land him with a 30 to life sentence, although the two are adamant that they stole nothing from the photographer, and were merely trying to shield Knight's four year-old son from her. Nevertheless, both have extensive rap sheets— this is Williams's tenth arrest since 2006, and was taken into custody while in court for another assault charge.
Although Knight was wanted on a fugitive warrant in the state of California and a charge of driving with a suspended license in Nevada, he claims not to have been aware of the legal trouble he was facing until the arrest.
