Two days and twenty-two bands later, we're happy to report that The Launch Pad was a resounding success. Sets from the likes of Active Child, We Are Augustines, Dom, Viva Brother, and so many more rocked Spike Hill in Williamsburg. For 48 hours, Baeble occupied Spike Hill and threw what turned out to be one of the hottest tickets of the festival. Did we mention it was free? Check out some epic pictures and fun facts we learned in the interviews below!
Our lineup could not be beat. We had almost the perfect balance of new, inspiring talent and already buzzing artists with serious momentum behind them. To watch all of the music unfurl in a whirlwind of energy and charisma was beyond a privilege, and we couldn't be happier it was our name that adorned the walls of the venue (much thanks to our partners, Mads at Spike Hill, Good Cop PR, Earl the lighting guru, the Lumina crew, Paul and his sound team, and everyone who had a hand in making this beast roar).
Everyone had a blast, including the artists. After shredding on stage, they were treated to beer and good times in the artist interview lounge. We learned all kinds of goodies when talking to the bands... did you know Dom has a party phone you can call anytime, and he'll pick up himself? That Radiation City drove across the entire country before playing our show? That Viva Brother once received pizza shells in the mail? That Kopecky Family Band has a pre-show catchphrase and they know it's cheesy but they say it anyway? That harp is not Pat from Active Child's first instrument? All this, and much more in the band interviews.
We'll be releasing the videos at the band's requests, so stay tuned for all of the spectacular sets in full HD.
