It's a thing now where if you're a rapper and want your video to prosper, just have a few attractive women parade around in it.(Sidenote: we are not condoning this nor advocating it). But when you're Drake, you can have not one, but two rows of stunning video vixens with bodacious bodies seated, wearing headsets, waiting for that flash on the hotline phone. Drake now has a video to accompany his magnum hit "Hotline Bling."
Certainly not his best video, but it's alluring nonetheless. "Hotline Bling" is one of those songs that remains memorable simply for the fact that it's easy. "I know when that hotline bling!".... You finish the rest. Drake has been a statue in the game of hip hop/ R&B/ trap/pop for his articulation, his phrasing. Those little stresses he places on certain words, his off-time conversational one-liners, yeah, those are what have kept listeners locked in and in love. It was stated somewhere on the big interwebs that the video sort of emulates the movements of Jay Kay (Jamiroquai) from the video "Virtual Reality."(Double sidenote: does the generation of Drake even know who Jamiroquai is? Tsk tsk.) Not exactly as fluid, but we'll give Drake the A for effort. So here's the video for "Hotline Bling." Now, more girls can "man crush Monday" him for his smooth (or perhaps lack of) moves, and guys can talk trash about him, only to go home and pretend they have Drake's moves in the mirror.
