Did you know that we love Catfish and the Bottlemen
here at Baeble Music? Because we absolutely do
. But maybe you thought that love was a tad out of the blue, that maybe we we occupy a weird corner of the internet.
Well, if we are weird then at least we're not alone in our freakishness. The Association of Independent Festivals
(AIF) just handed Catfish and the Bottlemen a reward for "Live Act of the Year." Which might normally deserve a shrug and a meh -- who takes awards seriously any more, right? Aren't they all just a nepotistic little circlejerk? -- until you realize that the AIF isn't an insular community of under-ground artists looking to pat each other on the back but a very inclusive, open association. It's also only a year old, which means that it hasn't had time to go septic yet. Which, in turn, means that Catfish and the Bottlemen's award is well-deserved, and bully for them!
If you're in doubt, though, and can't make it to a live set anytime soon, you're more than welcome to read a little bit of concert coverage
written by yours truly or to check out our live session with them just below.
