President Obama Shares His Workout Playlist, The Country Has A Lot To Think About

We've been learning a lot about President Obama's musical taste lately. Too much? Impossible! I think it's safe to say that this hipster is officially down with the cool kids after hosting a July 4th BBQ with Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monae and curating his very own two-part summer playlist, which included Sara Bareilles, Nas, Janet Jackson, and more. He even planned his own music festival, South by South Lawn, which was created in collaboration with SXSW.

Now, because he is guest-editing next month's issue of Wired, he has shared a workout playlist. It only has ten songs but man oh man, do those ten songs do us dirty. The tracks he picked really says a lot about who he is and makes us think: Is this the best or worst thing ever? Could you imagine the man who leads our country walking into the gym to The Black Eyed Peas' "Let's Get It Started"?! The good news is that he also has some good stuff on there too, like "Elevator Operator" by Courtney Barnett. Predictable... Psych, pretty sure that's the last artist I would ever expect the president to listen to. Whether or not the choice surprised us, that one song alone made us realize just how much we're going to miss this dude's presidency.
