The Launch Pad starts tomorrow people. If you're not already amped, than you real crazy, because it's going to be an all-night party with your favorite cheap beer and a tailor-made live soundtrack,
just for you. Two days in a row. Don't pretend you don't want it. To further stoke your excitement, let me introduce you to two of the bands hitting the stage on Saturday: JJAMZ and American Royalty.
JJAMZ (pronounced "juh-jamz") is an indie-pop band from LaLa land composed of members from past indie darlings: Bright Eyes, Maroon 5, and Phantom Planet. JJAMZ has a bright Cali sound and impressively catchy melodies, anchored by Elizabeth "Z" Berg's cute, breathy vocals. This is a group you can really have fun with.
There may not be a cooler up-and-coming band this year than
American Royalty. Pulling from genres like garage rock, electro-pop, and blues, American Royalty's sound is unique and filled with swagger and confidence -- as if they know they may have struck gold. Come catch these guys before they get too big.
