We're only two days away now from the start of
The Launch Pad! To prepare yourself, sit back and get to know two of the artists you'll be seeing on Friday night: Apollo Run and Caged Animals.
Apollo Run, as seen in the photo above, aren't your average local band. Their sound has been likened to that of Queen's, most likely due to the resemblance of lead singer John McGrew's voice to that of Freddie Mercury's. See for yourself, below.
Caged Animals
Next up, we have
Caged Animals, a Brooklyn band that sounds like home, even if you aren't local. They take the 80s pop croon and modify it with a fresh surfy vibe.
Both bands will be playing on the first night of the showcase; Friday, 10/19.
If you havent yet, be sure to check out the other bands playing:
Rah Rah and Snowmine,
Letting Up Despite Great Faults and Cruiser,
Born Ruffians and Choir of Young Believers, and
Admiral Fallow and Barcelona.
