NYC-based power-pop outfit Julius C has released a music video for their debut single "Don't Want Anybody," featuring the band rocking out and getting up to various other shenanigans in gorilla suits. Add in a few babes and some energetic live performance in Central Park, and they've got a real winner here, although I'm not sure I can condone monkeys abusing a Nord Electro 3 that way.
The song, a goofy power-pop number that will probably be stuck in my head for the rest of the day, is one of the four that comprise their Don't Want Anybody EP. The group will be supporting the self-released album with several NYC shows.
The group is also asking fans to "be [their] record label" and help them fund the release of their debut album through their Kickstarter page. They are currently about halfway to their goal of $5,000, with 10 days remaining on the clock - if you like what you've heard so far, head over and check it out; there are Julius C related rewards to be had for the group's "backers." -peter mennitiJulius C Show Dates
