Radiohead's lead guitaritst, Jonny Greenwood has been showing off his composer skills a lot the past few years. After his critically acclaimed composition efforts on the film, There Will Be Blood, and his help with the score for the forthcoming film Stone, he is now dipping into the world of classical music performance. On October 6th, he presented a new piece entitled "Smear" at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall. Footage of the performance is set to air on the BBC on November 19th. Then on October 18th, he will be appearing alongside other composers at London's Royal Albert Hall for the benefit Concert for Care, a show aiming to fight global poverty and deliver emergency aid to survivors of war and natural disasters.

This all comes at a time when Radiohead are busy being undecided on what to do with the album material that they have recorded. I feel like I'm in the same boat as most people in the sense that I don't have the means to get over there to see the upcoming benefit show or have the BBC channel so I'll be heavily relying on Youtube for my Radiohead/Jonny Greenwood fix while I wait for them to make up their minds.-brendan mehan
