We truly enjoyed the ambient muddle of Skying, the most recent album from brit-rockers The Horrors. That's why we were enthused by their ambitious cover of Beyonce's diva jam "Best Thing I Never Had", but also curious—how would that gothy wash of sound correlate to Beyonce's sprightly R&B? As it turns out, surprisingly well... the band takes B's tune and morphs it into a '80s-tastic, uptempo anthem that's almost unrecognizable. Take notes, this is how you cover with style.
