Friday night was a big night for the New York music scene, with big name acts floating around all over town. We decided an old favorite deserved our attention, so we shuttled off to Williamsburg to groove to the laid back rock of
The New Year, with support from
Dirty On Purpose, and relatively new act
Tre Orsi.

Tre Orsi, who played an energetic and rock-heavy set despite the thin early evening crowds. The New Year's Bubba Kadane has been producing the band.

Dirty On Purpose spun their usual brand of shoegaze, coupled with their sense of humor, to warm up the growing crowd.

Finally, as the crowd started to pick up, fans new and old heard the former
Bedhead members take the stage and play a solid set of their typical thick, deft indie rock constructions.
The New Year, the brainchild of the Kadane brothers, slowly gained more friends as live support... and the dynamic live show goes to show that bigger can be better.
