We're less than ten days away from the start of Baeble's CMJ Showcase
The Launch Pad, sure to lift off some great new music from the ground to your ears. Today, we are proud to introduce another wonderful singer due to play at Spike Hill,
Sarah Jaffe. Jaffe plays a special brand of pop, blending her southern belle voice with acoustic guitars, subtle strings, and lyrics that sound like they come from a wise world traveler, not a 24 year old.
In 2010, Jaffe released her debut
Suburban Nature, and instantly charmed fans and critics alike. Her breakout track, "Clementine," (video below) showcases Jaffe's talent for crafting undeniably catchy and well written songs. After touring with acts like Norah Jones and Midlake, Jaffe settled down to record her sophomore album
The Way Sound Leaves A Room, due out later this year. For more on the Texas born singer's biography, she'll tell you herself in her pseudo-political ad of an introductory video below.
