Dismaland's [Ed. Note: The Banksy art installation/publicity stunt] closing event was this weekend, and they ended the five week run with a bang. They opened the event with performances from Pussy Riot, Kate Tempest, and Leftfield. Although Massive Attack was originally set to headline, De La Soul quickly stepped in when they had to pull out. They closed the show with their 2005 collab with Damon Albarn, "Feel Good Inc," and goddamn, what a song to end with. Albarn got off to a rough start with a broken mic, but about 30 seconds in, he switched with one of the members of De La Soul. No one in the audience could stay still, and if you listen closely, you can hear people singing along during the chorus. Closing Dismaland with "Feel Good Inc" was an incredible idea; the crowd absolutely loved it, and "Feel Good Inc" almost summarizes the idea of Dismaland. It's a song with a post-apocalyptic feel, featuring manic laughter and lyrics talking about the things we do to survive, and it fits perfectly in a "bemusement park" that features the grim reaper spinning around in a go kart, jamming to "Stayin' Alive."
