If by chance you happen to be one of those folks who have plunked down the bulky $199.00 for Merge's 20th Anniversary subscription series box sets, I'm gonna take a careless stab in the dark that this next bit of news may just make you lose your schtuff. Seems in addition to the year long recorded celebration of all things Merge, the mighty Chapel Hill based label will be throwing themselves a rather grand kind of birthday party this summer, hosting their own 5 day festival in North Carolina in honor of...well, themselves. While no bands have officially been announced, the festival will feature artists from Merge's storied past and present...so you know it will be good. - David Pitz
