2012's Signs & Signifiers is one of the best records of the old school rockabilly/blues rock revival we got to experience during the 2010s. Oklahoma rocker JD McPherson has been one of the freshest voices (and we mean that quite literally cause it's impossible to forget his vocals once you hear them) on that scene for a while including last year's excellent and aptly named Let the Good Times Roll. And JD McPherson recently did an OurVinyl live session, and we have the exclusive premiere of a stunning performance of "Bridge Builder."

This is a slightly slower track than you might expect from the man who wears his love of Fats Domino and Little Richard on his sleeve, but it's chance to hear a more soulful side of the performer. His emotive vocals are on full display, and you can hear the quiet yearning of the track slowly working its way up your spine before the song comes to a close.
