John McCauley and his fellow band mates do hail from Road Island after all. Yikes. That's probably the worst humor you've read all day...but a great segue way none the less to our latest bit of news involving the band.
Following a hectic year of gigs with Jenny Lewis and The Felice Brothers, a Spanish stint, and a New Years Eve party that sent NYC's Knitting Factory off in style, Deer Tick have announced a new slate of dates that will send the band rollicking through the Northeast, Midwest, and down to Austin for SXSW. Word is they're also already hard at work on their follow-up to
War Elephant. It's titled
Born on Flag Day...but that's all the info we can muster for now. Until then, scope the slate of dates below. -
