Father John Misty Releases Chilling New Song and Video 'Two Wildly Different Perspectives'

    Another Father John Misty song! Although it's pretty depressing, we're excited nonetheless. Last week, FJM released the enjoyable yet cringeworthy title track off of his forthcoming album, Pure Comedy, and now he's just released "Two Wildly Different Perspectives," a haunting piano ballad about the hazards of polarization.

    The video, which was released along with the song, is thought-provoking and makes us scared for what our future holds. The video features children of various ethnicities playing with toy guns, video games guns, and real guns alike. This song is less sarcastic than your average Josh Tillman spiel, his songs usually have a taste of his swagger but this second track is solemn.

    FJM doesn't hold back his apprehensions and opinions about the world's current events. In a Facebook post he shared along with the song, "More kids are going to die now thanks to the unbelievably selfish policy of places like Saudi Arabia and the USA." It can be hard to think about these new policies but hopefully his upcoming album will shed some light for us on April 7th.
