It was announced today in an article published by UK newspaper The Guardian
that ambient post-rock band Sigur Ros
is taking a break while band members "have babies" and "work on solo projects."
Sigur Ros announced that they would be scrapping the album they had been working on since May of 2009, one they described as "slower and more ambient". As of now they're taking a break and working on solo projects. Frontman Jonsi Birgisson plans on releasing a solo album under the name Riceboy Sleeps in late March. -Ryan Broderick
