If you had told high school me this would happen, I'd have laughed uncontrollably, but I've been going through a major country music phase right now. Chris Stapleton is easily in the top 5 acts that I'm excited to catch at Coachella this summer. And the last year or so has been the moment for country acts to begin to crossover: Kacey Musgraves, Jason Isbell, the Lone Bellow. It's the genre's time to shine. And Anton Kellner and the Lone Stars are the latest act in the burgeoning alt country scene to get me really excited.

We've got the exclusive premiere of Kellner's latest track, "Understand," and it's a silky smooth confection of country soul. Anton Kellner's vocals anchor the whole track, with his emotional and subtly melancholic delivery as he spins a tale of love that's maybe taking a bit of a toll on both participants. But the low strumming guitars (and the slightest hint of strings in the background) give a dramatic flair to the whole track. I'm ready for more Anton Kellner and the Lone Stars and I'm ready for it now.
