One of the flock has left, but this fact hasn't hindered Sigur Ros yet. As Kjartan Sveinsson: an original member whom played a plethora of instruments in the lofty post-rock minimalist Icelandic band, takes a bow and humbly bids adieu, the remaining members venture onward with a refreshed perspective and a more aggressive sound. Nevertheless, Sigur Ros has mentioned during an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit that they're expecting a world tour, in which they'll be making a pit-stop here in the U.S. during late March.

In their video sampling the soon-to-be released material, Sigur Ros indeed demonstrates a more dissonant and chambered sound with myriad effects, congealing hints of a cold isolation, yet still lingering among their ethereal domain that they've always evoked.

The AMA video session was done yesterday on the January 24th in a LA recording studio, whereat further releases will be composed and produced.

U.S. Tour Dates:

March 25th - Madison Square Garden - New York City, NY, United States
