Today we are premiering the new single "Anchor," from Australian act The Kin
, which consist of the beautiful brothers Isaac and Thorald Koren and the equally as beautiful Mark "Shakerleg" Nicosia. It features a tropical beat with a whole lot of oceanic imagery, "When the waves are breaking so high, when they crash in on the inside."
The singer pleads and breaks into a sturdy falsetto reminiscent of X Ambassadors, making for an overall fervent pop song. The track is off of their upcoming album, Modern Primitive
, which is set to drop this Friday, January 27th.
"'Anchor' is a song about being yourself," Isaac Koren of The Kin told Baeble. "It was written at a time when shit was hitting the fan for us and we realized that no matter what happened we could always sink into a place of our own gravity, a place that was not swayed by the tides of opinion or change."
