Who's Gonna Save ASAP Rocky's Soul

A$AP Rocky shows some bona fide vulnerability during a cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Who's Gonna Save My Soul." The Harlem rapper not only makes it absolutely clear that he's by no means competing with Cee-Lo Green's unique vocals ("I cant sing for ish, y'all"), but at the same time he sings with such innocence that you can't help but feel his words. It's almost as if the cover was a long overdue acknowledgement of inner emotions on his part, and letting some of them out was a source of great relief - then, when he felt better towards the end, we got a bit of the A$AP Rocky we know and love with a slick verse or two. Check him out on this recording from BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge...
