reports Alanis Morissette
's manager, Jonathan Shwartz, admits to stealing over $7 million from the singer and $2 million from his other clients in Los Angeles court on Wednesday, January 18th. Morissette had tried to sue him for fraud back in May 2016 for more than $15 million.
Shwartz had been working with the singer for about 7 years (2009-2016) and throughout those 7 years his job was to collect income, manage investment accounts and paying bills. Apparently, the company Shwartz was working with were scammers. They tricked Morissette into thinking that she was going to be so financially stable for life, to the point where even her grandchildren could live off of it one day. Sadly, there was evidence found that Shwartz had made more than 100 transfers to his account from hers and when the poor singer brought it up to him he'd manipulate her, telling her that everything was okay, just simply giving her false hope. It's been reported that Jonathan Shwartz will be back in court on February 1st and could possibly face a 4-6 year sentence.
