Father John Misty's I Love You, Honeybear was one of the best albums of 2015 and has lead to a massive spike in the former Fleet Foxes drummer's popularity, leading to him playing increasingly large venues and many of the major festivals this year. Last night on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, FJM performed an absolutely stunning rendition of "Holy Shit" (an interesting song choice for network television.) He began the song solo, alone in a spotlight with just his guitar before his band dramatically joined in halfway through. The song is a perfect example of how FJM's songwriting expresses the ins and outs of modern consciousness and his performance makes it all the more remarkable.
