Massive Attack is happening in 2010. The trip-hop pair are planning a new release, penning a soundtrack, and just generally rejoining our world with new works and projects. More details, and a contest for t-shirts, after the jump!
Neil Davidge, of MA, is currently behind the score of
Clash Of The Titans, a Louis Leterrier-directed film starring Sam Worthington, slated for a March release. It was originally rumored to be Muse working the score, and later confirmed that Matt Bellamy had contributed, although backed out due to tour duties.
But that is an afterthought to the exciting news that following 2009's
Splitting The Atom EP, a full length release is in the works. The record,
Heligoland, is finished and ready for release next month. The pair recently made an intensely NSFW video featuring Hope Sandoval, titled "Paradise Circus." Its so NSFW we literally can't show you, because we are at work.
But we have t-shirts, and they come with CDs! The band is giving away a bunch of imported tees to celebrate the release of
Heligoland, and each one is bundled with a copy of the record. Check them out:
