Show Review

"Life Is a Nightmare" and man, does it look it in this campy new video premiere from the fairly outrageous party band, WORKOUT. Imagine plunking down good money for an aromatic, therapeutic, trigger pointed-deep tissue rub down or whatever, only to be met by the rough touch of pair of very manly hands lathering up the moisturizer. No happy ending here, but the snappy, back alley grooves and sing-along chorus at least sweetens the deal. If you like what you hear pick up the band's album Rockit Science HERE. If you like what you see, well...we can't help you with that sort of thing.

Artist Bio

WORKOUT was formed in Brooklyn in 2008 by Jack Killen (keys/vocals) and Jason Langdon (bass/vocals), who met while attending college in Portland, OR. The two were later joined by Timothy Traynor (drums/vocals) and fellow college friend Alex Forbes (guitar). Known for their boisterous live shows, WORKOUT has performed coast to coast at renowned venues to include Brooklyn Bowl, Music Hall of Williamsburg, and Rubber Tracks, opening for Haim, White Denim and more. The band combines heavy-duty power chords and raucous percussion for a big and bold sound that The New Yorker calls "a hyperactive rock monster born of a union between Roky Erickson and David Bowie." "This is a Brooklyn band in the grandest tradition of Rock and Roll here to break some hearts and unleash wild times," says The Deli NYC. Rockit Science, the band's second full-length release, is out now.
