Another stark, cinematic visual from the immense, creative mind of Karin Dreijer Andersson. To call
Fever Ray
a musical project at this point would be somewhat misguided. With what seems like a video for every composition from Andersson's stunning, self-titled disc, the co-creator of The Knife has presented her solo vision with such a prominent emphasis on audio-visual form, welding elegant scenery at almost every turn of her album's frosty, atmospheric pop music. In this, her video for "Keep the Streets Empty For Me" the artist offers very little joy to take stock of. Just a solitary girl meandering her way through a grey-scale, urban landscape. It's simple, mundane, yet exceptionally exquisite. Another wonderful video from the imaginative world of Fever Ray. -
