Show Review

With a big fat sound and a message fueled by working class angst, frustration, and discontent, hip hop legend Eric "Everlast" Schrody's latest single "I Get By" from his album Songs of the Ungrateful Living is an apropos soundtrack for the "Occupy" movement sweeping the country (and the world). Adding to the story is the downright courageous video he put together to accompany the song. Teaming up with street art collective TrustoCorp, Everlast spent 4 days "running around with ski masks all over New York on some real covert, f*ck the system, bomb the system sh*t". And bomb he did. What we see here is bonafied tagging, with Everlast playing look out (while rapping, mind you) for the NYC graffiti crew.
