About This Video
English trio The Cribs are just about to hit the road in North America for ten shows in June. To show how excellent their live show will be, they've released an excellent new video for "Glitters Like Gold." The directors of the video, Andy Knowles and Stephen Agnew, explained that they tried to recreate the aesthetic of music videos from the early 90s were initial inspiration. They said of the "Glitters Like Gold" video, "However, we didn't want to simply wallow in our own selfish nostalgia, we also wanted to create something playful and interactive to run parallel to the linear video. So we arrived at the idea of creating an interactive fact driven video." Click on fun facts about the trio, like the name of Ryan's bowling ball or "Snakes and Ladders!!!!" to see other videos of the band. It's a fun idea and the aesthetic matches The Cribs powerful, playful energy. "Glitters Like Gold" is from The Cribs' most recent album In The Belly of The Brazen Bull, which is out now via Witchita Recordings.
