Kishi Bashi is an inventive fellow. He's been the voice of NYC's own Jupiter One, is a frequent collaborate with the likes of Of Montreal and Regina Spektar, and is currently supporting the release of his new album 151a on tour with The Barr Brothers. "Bright Lights" is the first music we've ever heard from Bashi, but I think we're hooked. This is splendid stuff, rolling along to whomptastic, rhythmic pounces, splendid smacks of hand claps, and a pretty wild world of vocal aerobatics. The video was directed by Brett Vaughn and features some fun loving folks acting out a literal versions of various idioms.
