NEW HORSE FEATHERS SPRING TOUR DATES
Wednesday, March 03, 2010

One of Portland's finest exports Horse Feathers will be touring over the next few month including an appearance at SXSW. The dates are listed below.
Their new album 'Thistled Spring' will be out in Apr 20th on Kill Rock Stars. This will be their second full length for KRS after 2008's 'House With No Home,' and their third overall. 'House With No Home' received wonderful press notices and made it possible for Horse Feathers to establish a strong following in Europe as well as the US. 'Thistled Spring' is both a worthy follow up and a new beginning with musical ideas and melodies literally bursting forth. Let me know if you need more information.

"defines an eerie space where the skeleton of a story lies: no exposition, no names, just hints of a grief and outrage.... His voice high and unreadable, Justin Ringle skims the melodies as the arrangement builds haphazardly, creating an eerie insistence that gives his lyrics added heft. 7.6" - Pitchfork
"grim stuff, to be sure, but those strings are gorgeous enough to sweep the song's entire generation of tragedy under the rug." - NPR
"a lovely, lo-fidelity meditation, full of banjo, guitar, cello, saw and gentle vocal harmonies." New York Times
