JAPANDROIDS ANNOUNCE NO SINGLES, NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES

Polyvinyl is pleased to announce the reissue of Japandroids two out-of-print EPs compilation NO SINGLES available worldwide May 11 on CD, LP (Gatefold/180 gram vinyl) and digital formats (see Exclaim News Story 3/11). CD and LP editions include a 32-page booklet. Both EPs were remastered by John Golden (Melvins, Nirvana). Full track listing below.

Japandroids North American tour begins Mar. 17 in Austin, TX at the 2010 SXSW Music Festival and wraps up in Vancouver, BC on Apr. 30 at Lifetime Collective. The tour will see support (select dates) from label mates Love is All, as well as Avi Buffalo, A Sunnny Day In Glasgow, Best Coast, Nobunny, and Bear in Heaven. In addition, the band has scheduled performances at Sasquatch (May 31) and Bonnaroo (Jun. 10). Updated tour dates below.

In other news, Polyvinyl recently announced Japandroids 7" singles series available beginning Apr. 13 (see Pitchfork News Story Feb. 11). The series will yield five singles in total, limited to 2000 copies each, and will be also be available for sale in digital format. Each single will include an A-side featuring previously unreleased material from the POST-NOTHING sessions, and a cover B-side. The debut single includes, "Art Czars," along with a cover of Big Black's "Racer X," on clear vinyl. Japandroids devised the 7" series as a way to give something back to their fans while the band is in the midst of heavy touring and unable to record a full album. Each two-song 7" will be recorded during the brief period of time the band is at home between tours.
