This week we've got one my favorite tapes so far, curated by Pan of the Brooklyn band Suckers. Bonus points for Serge Gainsbourg alone, but the whole thing is pretty magical! Enjoy. -joe puglisi

myspace and
here ...I saw these guys play once in a small room with about 30 people, by the end of the show it was a full-on dance party... so good live.. especially for just 2 people. Can't wait 'til they actually release a record!
2. "Real Life" - Tan Lines - SettingsReal Life = Real Talk
3. "Good Old Germany" - Giorgio Moroder - EinzelgangerThis dude also wrote the themes to Scarface and The Never Ending Story! Also has one of my favorite mustaches too.
4. "Mister Iceberg" - Serge Gainsbourg - De Serge Gainsbourg A GainsbarreSo cold, soo coooool....
5. "Teach Me How To Dougie" - Cali Swag District - The KickbackI still haven't learned.
6. "Round And Round" - Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Before TodayI'm sure y'all are sick of this jam by now, but not me....
7. "I Wish So Bad" - Cameron Hull - BubblesWritten by Cameron Hull, Produced by Austin Fisher (also a Sucker). You may have seen Cameron around somewhere wearing a beagle mask...
8. "You Do You" - Bear In Heaven - Beast Rest Forth MouthI know Kelcey [Ayer] of Local Natives just put this one his mix tape, but it's seriously one of my favorite jams of the past year and I couldn't leave it off... we've been playing shows with these dudes for years and I'm just so psyched to see them doing so well.. great job bros.
9. "Come With Me" - ceo - White MagicThis is Eric Berglund from Tough Alliance. Quinn showed me this in the van a few weeks ago when we were in Canada... been on repeat ever since..
10. "If You Go Away" - Scott Walker - Sings Jacques BrelThis song is based on the Jacques Brel song "Ne Me Quitte Pas". Rod McKuen re-wrote the lyrics in English and then it was recorded by tons of musicians like Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Neil Diamond and Cyndi Lauper... this is my favorite of the ones I've heard.
