Wild Light is an indie rock band which formed in 2005 in Quincy, Massachusetts, United States. The band consists of Seth Pitman (vocals, multiple instruments), Timothy Kile (vocals, multiple instruments), Jordan Alexander (guitar) and Seth Kaspar (drums). Kile was an early member of Arcade Fire, who were formed by Alexander's friend Win Butler.

Founded in High School, then - going separate ways for college - split up and, in the summer of 2005, reunited again in southern New Hampshire, Wild Light started their musical career in Boston by several club gigs.

In early 2007 they started recording in the basement of Timothy Kile, Seth Pitman, Jordan Alexander's single family house in Quincy with the help of Engineer Bob Logan. Resulting of which an EP has been published in September 2007.

Musically, Wild Light are probably most often compared to their friends Arcade Fire, but with an abundance of keys, reverb-drenched guitars and tambourine, their music actually has more in common with Mercury Rev's Deserter's Songs. The lyrics are bittersweet stories about the pain of learning through experience, sprinkled with enough cerebral turns of phrase to keep lyrical-minded listeners thoroughly engrossed.

Members: Seth Pitman - songwriting and multi-instrumentalist, Seth Kasper - drums, Timothy Kile - songwriting and multi-instrumentalist, Jordan Alexander - songwriting and guitarist - last fm

Here's an infectious bit of indie rock, courtesy of anthemic, New Hampshire outfit Wild Light. Filmed at the Highline Ballroom, this beautifully shot set from the band validates just how comfortable, talented, and versatile on stage these four, childhood friends are. Constantly trading roles - the guitarist now the keyboardist, three singers each taking an opportunity to lead the band - each member of Wild Light seems to add their own charm and charisma to the final output, heightening the catchy nature of their finely crafted songs in this enthusiastic, NYC performance. In the end though, it might be drummer Seth Kasper who steals the show. His is a furious contribution, flashing stick tricks while pounding out heavy handed rhythms that play an immaculate part of Wild Light's songs.
