	Imagine a low lit and sparsely occupied nightclub. From the stage pours the sounds of longing...love's sad lament set to traditional American instrumentation. Slide guitar, banjo, gut strings, warm pads of synth: all help set a mysterious, unquestionably feminine form to music that evokes memories of Elvira, Dolly Parton, Beck, Dylan, Nina Simone, Mazzy Star, Southern Comfort (straight up), and the set of David Lynch's Blue Velvet. Betty Black offer music for grown ups.
