Show Review

Towards the end of his recent performance in Austin TX, Matt Nathanson admits he and his band might be a little rusty having not toured for over a year and a half. Certainly had us fooled, right from the peppy, shaker-infused first serenade ("Modern Love"). In this performance, Nathanson and his band never failed to charm the audience with the playful, yet humble persona exemplified in his music.

Though he may disagree, what's most mesmerizing about our latest concert release is Nathanson obvious onstage ease. His music is honest. He introduces radio hits like "Come On Get Higher" and "Car Crash" while shrugging his shoulders, giving simple explanations like, "it's a song about love in the truest sense."

Yet beyond this lies an uninhibited exuberance. Though his anecdotes humble, he performs with incessant passion and energy, interjecting chuckle-worthy comments to the audience like "yeah, sing it, f***in' sing it," and "that's good, that's cool."

Watching our latest concert video with Matt Nathanson will leave you craving more. Luckily his new album Modern Love comes out today! Welcome him back to the stage and back on your stereos.
