Show Review

Alabama Shakes' debut album Boys & Girls arrived with a rapturous, trembling-in-the-face-of-the-almighty "BOOM" when it was released in the spring of 2012. There was something about the crunchy, no frills, Southern soul that sizzled through the band's songs, and Brittany Howard's presence at the helm offered an inspirational experience. Here she was, testifying at the altar of the roots of American music, showing critics and fans alike that rock and roll was far from dead. The phenomenon wasn't limited to the States, of course. It swept worldwide, including all the way to Oz.

Today, for the first time on Baeble we're beginning the rollout of some of the finest concerts captured by our friends down under at Moshcam. In our inaugural Moshcam release on Baeble, we're showing you what happened when the Shakes debuted their roadshow down-under, setting up shop in a packed-past-capacity small club in Sydney Australia. We hear the band will be releasing album #2 sometime in the very near future. Before they do, nibble on some classics with this electrifying full concert vid.
