Show Review

Jarrod Gorbel (The Honorary Title) and Blake Sennett (Rilo Kiley, The Elected) are Night Terrors of 1927; an 80s obsessed duo who roll through slinky, synth anthems powered by the beat of a new wave heart. In our newest Front Row Encounter, the veteran front men lead their band and a sweaty afternoon-gathering of fans through songs from their recently released album, Everything's Coming Up Roses. Cuts like "Dust and Bones", "When You Were Mine", and a righteous cover of "Talking In Your Sleep" have a distinctively cinematic feel. When the guy everyone's rooting for finally gets the girl, when the rag-tag group of dreamers beat their arch-nemesis with sharp wit and more heart; songs like these are perfect for the culminating moment of your favorite underdog flick. Have a look/listen at our latest concert...Night Terrors of 1927 could be the newest soundtrack to your own life.

this folks.
One last battle of the bands.
We jumped the curb.
Follow the dirt path.
Sun was blazin' on our backs
Never alone, couldn't be closer.
The same all summer, we were so alive
Our screams lit up the sky.
We were young.
Falling free
High enough to still believe.
Crossed the heart. Hoped to die.
Oh, we said we would survive.
We'll always be.
We'll always be one.
We'll always be one.
Pedaling faster. The echo of laughter.
Racing under the overpass.
Had nothing to hide.
We gave our innocence that night.
We were so alive.
Our screams lit up the sky.
We were young.
Falling free.
High enough to still believe
Crossed the heart.
Hoped to die.
Oh, we said we would survive.
We will always be one.
We were young.
Falling free.
High enough to still believe.
Crossed the heart. Hoped to die.
Oh, we said we would survive.
In worse or better.
No, nothing ever lasts forever.
That was then.
We were young.
But we'll always be one. Always be one.
We'll always be one.
Always be one.
We'll always be one.
Always be one. We'll always be one.
We'll always be one.
- Have you ever seen more projectors on the ceiling than this, ever? No! Fucking, because it's impossible! It's like six of them! Hey, Christian, how are you? Our manager's right there and he's like, "What the fuck are they doing? Play a song.
" This is a cover song.
And you'll love it.
Close your eyes and you go to sleep.
And it's down to the sound of a heartbeat
I can hear the things that you're dreaming about.
When you open up your heart and the truth comes out.
And you tell me that you want me.
And you tell me that you need me.
And you tell me that you love me.
And I know that I'm right.
'Cause I hear it in the night.
I hear the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking in your sleep.
I hear the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking in your sleep.
When I hold you in my arms at night.
Well, don't you know you're sleeping in the spotlight.
And all your dreams that you keep inside.
You're telling me the secrets that you just can't hide.
You tell me that you want me.
And you tell me that you need me.
And you tell me that you love me.
And I know that I'm right.
'Cause I hear it in the night.
I hear the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking in your sleep.
I hear the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking in your sleep.
I hear the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking in your sleep.
I hear the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking in your sleep.
When you close your eyes and you go to asleep.
Ah, everything about you is a mystery.
You tell me that you want me.
And you tell me that you need me.
And you tell me that you love me.
Oh, I know I'm right.
'Cause I hear it in the night.
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep.
I hear the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking in your sleep.
Well, I hear the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking in your sleep.
I hear the secrets that you keep.
When you're talking in your sleep.
Oh my darling, we are falling.
Stuck at the crossroads, skull and cross bones.
Sinking down now, down to the bottom.
All in the same boat, where only God knows.
Everyone around us Holds on to the promise.
Can you hear the sound? I almost hear it now.
The world exploded, the final moment,
it's life and death, we won't rest 'til we're dust and bones.
The clock keeps turning, the world keeps burning.
It's life and death, we won't rest 'til we're dust and bones.
'Til we're dust and bones
All the lonely, lost, misshapen.
Praying to be taken.
Everyone around us.
Holds on to the promise.
Can you hear the sound? I almost hear it now.
The world exploding, the final moment,
it's life and death, we won't rest
'til we're dust and bones.
The clock keeps turning, the world keeps burning.
It's life and death, we won't rest 'til we're dust and bones.
'Til we're dust and bones
The world exploding, the final moment,
it's life and death, we won't rest 'til we're dust and bones.
The clock keeps turning, the world keeps burning.
It's life and death, we won't rest 'til we're dust and bones.
Maybe you got soft.
Flew out the door on the breeze.
Maybe you just got lost.
On the way back home.
On the way back home to me.
Maybe we're just pretending.
And maybe I don't mind.
So, now that it's ending.
I don't wanna know.
Was it all a waste of time?
It's the end of the world.
It's the last taste of wine.
When you were, when you were, when you were mine.
You were lost.
I was blind.
And we swore it was time
When you were, when you were, when you were my waste of time.
Waste of time.
So, I wrote one more story.
I just don't know how it ends.
About all the boys you're seeing.
The ones that you, that you call your friends.
This nightmare keeps repeating.
We'll never get to the end.
Of this fire we're feeding.
The hottest love has the coldest end.
From the start of it all to the end of the line.
When you were, when you were, when you were mine.
You were lost.
I was blind.
And we swore it was time.
When you were, when you were, when you were my waste of time.
Waste of time.
Waste of time.
Waste of time. Waste of time.
The start of it all to the end of the line.
When you were, when you were, when you were mine.
You were lost.
I was blind.
And we swore it was time.
When you were, when you were, when you were my waste of time.
Waste of time.
Waste of time.
Waste of time.
It's the end of the world.
It's the last taste of wine.
When you were, when you were, when you were mine.
The start of it all, the end of the line.
When you were, when you were, when you were mine.
