Show Review
A cool and dusty New York troubadour, his vocals rich with sweet and sour tones, his acoustic pairing sparse and simple. His hair's a splash of lackadaisical style, a few black and white stripes peaking out of his nicely worn leather coat. His guitar? A possible relic.
Adam Green molds an absolute vision of city dwelling cool. In style and art alike, it's like he's huffing on the fumes of those who came before him ( think Cohen, Reed, Byrne, etc). Perhaps a bit far flung, but if he wasn't in the Guest Apartment during this session, visions of him perched on the edge of a bed in the sunny mid morning serenading the beautiful curves of a female form pressed in silky sheets might seem appropriate. Perhaps...
Lucky for us (unfortunate for him) Green was in the Guest Apartment, sharing a few songs from his sixth solo release Minor Love. Here in the pink hue of our residential haunt, Green's stark songs reveal the wild imagination that drive his music. Cool, charismatic, a bit macho; Green's got a weird charm to him, and it shines through the inventive poetry of songs like " Breaking Locks", " You Blacken My Stay", and "Cigarette Burns Forever". - David Pitz
