Show Review
Dallas Green is well known for the post-punk hardcore roots he laid with his band Alexisonfire (RIP). But he's also a man of many talents, including the intimate folk tunes he spins as City and Colour. Recently we invited Green to set up before a small gathering of die-hard fans at Littlefield in Brooklyn. Green—clad in shorts, glasses and his signature tattoos—strummed his way through some of his best tunes, including a few favorites off his latest album, Little Hell,His multi-faceted talents—fluid guitar riffs, harmonica, slipping emotive covers as outros, and a smoky, interesting timbre—was matched only by his charming banter. There was plenty of self-referential humor, anecdotes of being on the road, and a nod to the guy in the audience who has to have the last clap. Don't miss our latest acoustic gem, a colorful show-and-tell of Green's best work.
