BAEBLE CONCERTS: Surfer Blood at Emo's

It's not every day one releases a new website. Maybe you've noticed, maybe you didn't...maybe it's even your first time on Baeble. But the site before you today (sniff it, inhale it, breathe it in...it's still got that new site smell!) is a very big deal indeed; the product of months of hard work and endless rounds of programming on our end.

In honor of the stylish new makeover, we've teamed up with the equally stylish folks at Keds to offer you the unique opportunity to score yourself a free pair of kicks, and check out some awesome live video filmed in Austin during SXSW '10 along the way. For the next three weeks we'll be releasing performances from some of the most exciting bands to take over Austin during this year's festival. And we're starting with a band we've been trying to get our hands on for months.

Blending grungy guitar riffs with over-'verbed vocals and a percussive heavy backbone, Palm Beach Florida's Surfer Blood have rallied plenty of fans in their favor with a tasty crop of skittish, indie pop. Their sound, as captured on their impressive debut disc Astro Coast, is a classic mix of rock's finest past and present offerings...perfect for personal consumption, or stylishly blaring loud and proud for all your friends to see.
