  • TRENT REZNOR POSSIBLY SCORING AND APPEARING IN FILM ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER

    Trent Reznor is a busy man. After winning an Oscar for composing The Social Network's film score, Badass Digest reported that the Nine Inch Nails front man would also score and possibly even appear in the film as the vampire that kills Abraham Lincoln's mother. Reznor hasn't quite confirmed the role yet, but he has added to speculation that he's in on his Nine Inch Nails forum. In a recent post he writes:

    "I am friends with Timur Bekmambetov. He's an interesting and very talented director that caught my attention with his film Night Watch (check it out if you haven't). He asked me if I was interested in scoring his new film he's doing with Tim Burton entitled Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I was familiar with the book, read the script and it felt like an interesting challenge as a composer - very different from the Fincher films. While discussing the film with Timur he started gently pressing me to play a small role in the film. The idea was a cameo-esque role that would be kept under wraps and be a surprise around opening night. I was considering this when I awoke a few days ago to the news I am now STARRING in ALVH (which is obviously not true). Fuck. We both apparently forgot the internet existed AND THERE ARE NO SURPRISES anymore."


    In this same post, Reznor goes on to share information about his other projects including work for the upcoming album for his new band How To Destroy Angels, which he plans to release this Fall. Additionally, Reznor is also scoring the upcoming film The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo for The Social Network director David Fincher. Lastly, he reassures fans that Nine Inch Nails is not dead, and he plans to work on a future release.
