  • DAVID GRAY KICKS OFF LOST AND FOUND TOUR FEBRUARY 21ST
GRAMMY Award nominee David Gray is excited to kick off his highly anticipated "Lost and Found" tour this Monday, February 21st in Boston, MA. A tour promised to be unlike anything Gray has done before, "Lost and Found" will be a series of intimate acoustic evenings centered around songs from Foundling and also include reinterpretations of songs from his entire catalogue. The exclusive dates will cover 12 cities before wrapping in San Diego, CA on March 9th(full routing below).

"The 'Lost and Found' tour embodies more than just an opportunity to play some of the quieter, more intimate songs, not only from Foundling but from across my catalogue." said David. "It will provide a long anticipated platform for a completely different approach. In terms of the way that the sound of the music is captured and presented, it will be more like a recording session than a gig in many ways. Acoustic instruments will be mic'd up for their real sound, rather than going for the usual pick-up sound, and as a result volume levels both for the band and the audience will have to be kept much lower than at your average 'rock' show. Hopefully the sonic results will be more than worth the sacrifice of a few decibels. Essentially the 'Lost and Found' show will be a listening experience."

Official "Lost and Found" Tour Dates Are As Follows:

February 21st Boston, MA The Wang Theatre

February 22nd North Bethesda, MD Music Center at Strathmore

February 23rd New York, NY Beacon Theatre

February 25th Toronto, ON Massey Hall

February 26th Detroit, MI Detroit Opera House

February 27th Chicago, IL Chicago Theatre

February 28th Minneapolis, MN State Theatre

March 3rd Seattle, WA Marion Oliver McCaw Hall

March 4th Vancouver, BC The Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts

March 5th Spokane, WA INB Performing Arts Center

March 7th San Francisco, CA Davies Symphony Hall

March 8th Los Angeles, CA Royce Hall

March 9th San Diego, CA Spreckels Theatre

David Gray has established himself as one of the UK's leading music artists both at home and overseas. With a career now spanning over fifteen years, David's commercial success is also backed up by a critical consensus and countless accolades. His 2009 release Draw The Line was met with critical praise and garnered the artist a series of high profile television appearances, as well as two sold out tours of the US. Foundling, Gray's 9th studio album picks up where Draw the Line leaves off, creating a new chapter of lush, soulful songs that find Gray returning to his folk music roots. Notching a #9 debut on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, Foundling marked Gray's highest release position of his career and was met with critical praise by Entertainment Weekly who describes it as "all warm arrangements and real emotion," while USA Today says "'A Moment Changes Everything' is his most infectious single since 2000's 'Babylon.'"
